The Video Doorbell E340 boasts a range of features to enhance your home security and convenience. Dual cameras work together to deliver advanced viewing, with the front-facing camera focusing on people and the downward-facing camera providing a view of the floor in front of your door. The industry-leading dual-light system and advanced light-capturing algorithm provide clear color night vision, with a viewing distance of up to 16ft (5m).

The Video Doorbell E340 offers 2K full HD clarity, revealing more details of your doorstep and anyone who visits. It can be powered by battery or wired, giving you flexibility in installation. The battery-powered mode makes installation easy, and you can keep a spare quick-release battery for quick swaps to avoid downtime due to charging. The wired mode is also powered by the battery, which is topped up by the wired power source for long-lasting performance.

The Video Doorbell E340 can be paired with your existing chime or compatible eufy devices, Alexa, and Google Voice Assistant, allowing you to hear alerts throughout your home. It does not, however, support the original eufy Wi-Fi Chime (T8020) or eufy Chime (T8740/T8742), nor does it currently support Apple HomeKit.

The Video Doorbell E340 is compatible with the pre-record function, which is expected to be available from early December 2023. When using this feature, the existing chime needs to be bypassed, and the doorbell must be constantly powered by a 16-24V, 30VA transformer.

While the Video Doorbell E340 only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, it does not support 5 GHz. Additionally, the battery must be installed even when using the doorbell in wired mode.

To link Alexa with the Video Doorbell E340, follow these steps: 1. Open the Alexa app side menu and tap Browse. 2. Find and enable the "eufy Security" skill. 3. Enter your eufy account login details on the Link Account page. 4. Tap "Discover Devices" to see which security devices you can use with Alexa.
